Of course, after watching a gazillion animes, movies and series I understand how people would say yeah tsubasa is weak or dragon ball or MacGyver or A-Team. No internet (I am talking from 85/93 or something like that). In Portugal (Where I live) we had 2 channels. People under 30 cannot fully appreciate what we over 30 had. They would be bored of Dragon Ball (the first one) because that's the way of society nowadays. They become the Under X Japan Team and then the World Cup.īut I understand this is not an easy series for someone with 20 years nowadays. This show is very good about a boy who will do everything to become a world cup winner and every I am not even talking about Japanese players () Some even say they went to play because of it. This anime made people around the world enjoy football (soccer to you americans).įernando Torres Iniesta and plenty other european players were fan of it. But this anime has something that most animes nowadays will never had. It's not the best character driven or have the best plot or even sound. The series follows on the games of Nankatsu and friendships and rivalries of Ozora Tsubasa. As the story develops Taro Misaki moves to Nankatsu a few days after Tsubasa and becomes best friends with him, also joining Nankatsu. Mainly it is because of Tsubasa's rival beginning with the famous Shuutetsu goalkeeper Wakabayashi Genzo, and the friends he made that go to Nankatsu PS. However, his encounters on the first few days forces him to reconsider, and with the advisement of the famous Brazillian soccer player Roberto Hongo who was asked to train Tsubasa by his father, he ended up joining Nankatsu Public School's soccer team, a rival to Shuutetsu that hasn't won in many years.
It is about a student named Ozora Tsubasa who moves to Nankatsu from his hometown because he wants to play soccer in the famous Shuutetsu team. If anyone knows anyplace I can find them in please let me know.īut as to the anime it is very enjoyable, it combines both reality and super powers such as Tsubasa's super kick (which, while playing the Japanese only Atari game with my friends and not knowing aīit of Japanese, for an unknown reason called it 'Magnum'), and the Twins' super-joint kick. I recently watched the first three episodes but couldn't find anymore with english subs, or dubs. This got us all into soccer too lol, I would imagine myself being Tsubasa, or Misaki and try harder at soccer. I watched this anime when I was in elementary school, and including me all my friends were really into it. Representing Japan in the FIFA World Cup is Tsubasa’s ultimate dream, but it will take a lot more than talent to reach it. He encounters not only rivals, but also new friends like the pretty girl Sanae Nakazawa and the talented goalkeeper, Genzo Wakabayashi, who shares the same passion as Tsubasa, and will prove to be a treasured friend in helping him push towards his dreams. But although he was easily the best in his old town, Nankatsu has a lot more competition, and he will need all of his skill and talent in order to stand out from this new crowd.
In order to pursue his dream to the best of his elementary school abilities, Tsubasa moves with his mother to Nankatsu city, which is well-known for its excellent elementary school soccer teams. 11-year-old Tsubasa Oozora started playing soccer at a very young age, and while it was mostly just a recreational sport for his friends, for him, it developed into something of an obsession. Captain Tsubasa is the passionate story of an elementary school student whose thoughts and dreams revolve almost entirely around the love of soccer.
